HOUSE ACTIVITIES



This year the House program has provided students with many opportunities to express themselves and has allowed them to participate in various House related activities.

 

House activities include:

Swimming Carnival

Athletics Carnival

Chess Tournament

Indoor Soccer Match

Volleyball Match

Read-a-thon

House activities such as the swimming and athletics carnivals are compulsory for students to attent to ensure that they show true contribution and commitment to the school.

 

House Swimming

The annual House Swimming Carnival commenced at The Ridgeway Campus this year on Thurdsay the 26th of February, allowing many students from Plenty Campus to participate in a wide range of events. The day consisted of many students dressed in coloured clothing and costumes chanting and cheering for their House which kepts spirits high. The day eventually came to an end with Thoresby on top and Athelstane not too far behind. Due to the widespread excitment from the students over the course of the day it was evident that everyone had a great time and all left feeling like winners. 

 

House Athletics

On Wednesday the 19th of August the annual House Athletics Carnival was held at Meadowglen Athletics Track for the Plenty Campus. Students were given the oppurtunity to participate in events that acknowledged all levels of skill which allowed many to make a contribution to their House. Even if a student was unable to participate in an event they still stayed committed to their House by attending and cheering them on or by aiding the staff in setting up events.The day was filled with House pride as everyone cheered and encouraged members of their House on. Each House produced tremendous performances but it was Thoresby in the end to win the competition and recieve the House Athletics Trohpy.
